Rules and Regulations

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Due to Utah State Health Department laws and regulations, all food and beverages must be prepared and served by Silver Fork Lodge. The only exception is a wedding/birthday cake that may be provided by an outside vendor.
  2. Due to Utah State Alcohol Beverage Control laws and regulations, all alcoholic beverages must be purchased and served by Silver Fork Lodge. The only exception is wine and champagne, which may be provided by the guest. Wine and champagne provided by the guest must be purchased through a Utah State Liquor Store and will be charged a corking fee. Wine and champagne from out of state is not
  3. For your safety, we do not allow food to be taken from events. The only exception is a wedding/birthday cake provided by an outside vendor.
  4. Menu selections will be discussed at the time of booking and must be confirmed 14 days prior to the function date. Events will be served buffet style with over 40 guests and table service with under 40 guests.
  5. Two tasting events for dinner items, with mock wedding set ups, will be offered each year, one in early May and one in mid-September. Brides and grooms are invited to attend to help them select menu options. Most, if not all, of the banquet menu items will be served. Reservations are required. Limit two guests per booking.
  6. No person under the legal drinking age of 21 years old will be served, or in any way procure alcoholic beverages on the premises. We will refuse to serve alcohol to any individual(s) without proper identification. No person who appears visibly intoxicated will be served. Bar service must be concluded by 10:00PM.
  7. Terms of payment are as follows: For weddings and large events, a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of $1,000.00 is due immediately to reserve an event. This deposit will be applied to the final bill the day of the event as a credit. Silver Fork Lodge will accept tentative reservations to hold a date, however, if another customer wants to book the date and is ready to place a deposit, you will be contacted and allowed 8 hours to confirm with a deposit or forfeit the date. Cash, check, and all major credit cards are accepted. An 20% gratuity and 7.85% sales tax will be applied to all charges.
  8. For wedding receptions in our banquet area, Silver Fork Lodge & Restaurant does not charge a facility fee; our pricing structure is based on a menu charge for every person in attendance  (evening menu’s range $26-$48 p.p.). No open house receptions permitted. Ceremony charges apply.
  9. A guaranteed number of guests is due 14 days prior to the event. You will be charged for the guaranteed number given or, the actual number in attendance, whichever is greater. In the event that attendance exceeds the guaranteed amount the day of the event, each additional guest is added to the bill and assessed an additional 20% surcharge.
  10. A minimum of 50 guests is required for an event on a Saturday night June through September.
  11. A ceremony can be purchased with or without a reception. The time allowed for a “ceremony only” is 2 hours, plus 2 hours prior to the start time to decorate. Day weddings can begin as early as 9:00AM and must be finalized by 2:00PM. Evening weddings can begin as early as 5:00PM and must be finalized by 10:00PM.
  12. Music is allowed outside for the procession and recession of the ceremony only. For the reception, music must be set up inside the banquet room. We will keep the windows and doors open while the music is playing until 9:00PM, at which time we enforce a noise ordinance. At 9:00PM the windows and doors must be closed and the volume regulated so that music is not heard outside. At 10:00PM music must be turned off.
  13. Silver Fork Lodge does not provide center pieces, officiants, photographers, flowers, wedding cakes, or music. We do have speakers, compatible with iPods and phones, and a microphone on site for use by request.
  14. Existing decorations cannot be removed from the banquet area. No rice, sparklers, confetti, imitation flower petals, glitter, and any other like-substances are allowed at Silver Fork Lodge. Open flame candles are permitted with the use of a glass holder. Items may not be affixed to any stationary wall, floor, window or ceiling with nails, tacks, or staples. Double sided sticky tape, wire, and hanging décor off of existing nails is allowed.
  15. Guests are allowed 2 hours prior to their start time to begin decorating. Silver Fork Lodge is not responsible for lost or broken items. The client and/or vendor is responsible for the removal of all decorations, equipment, props, décor, etc. at the end of the event. Silver Fork Lodge allows you to choose whichever vendors you prefer.
  16. The client assumes responsibility for any and all damages incurred by their guests, invitees or other persons attending the function, in any part of Silver Fork Lodge’s facility.
  17. Silver Fork Lodge and its employees will not be held responsible for any personal injury or property loss that may occur.
  18. Rehearsal times are limited and are scheduled based upon availability.
  19. Smoking is not allowed in any indoor facility or the outside portion of the banquet area.
  20. Big Cottonwood Canyon is a protected water shed and dogs are not permitted, therefore, no dogs are permitted on the premises.
