Silver Fork's rich history dates back to the 1850s when the area was a tent city for miners. The southwest corner of the lodge was once a general store for the area. Trees in the area were used for shingles on the LDS Salt Lake Temple.

Silver Fork Lodge Bed & Breakfast is situated 1 mile from Solitude Ski Resort and 3 miles from Brighton Ski Resort. Just out the door, you have access to back country skiing and snowshoeing. Transportation is available to and from the Salt Lake International Airport and to the resorts.
